Now without further ado…
It’s official! We’ve entered a new decade, and Wallpusher has many hopes for the musical innovations we’ve been working on since the LAST decade, and intends to share them this year in 2010.
I guess you could call that a resolution, right? To share our innovations with as many as possible, online and in person? There are just too many people out there who have been facing the same frustrations we’ve been facing when it comes to playing the electric bass and the electric guitar; let’s all get together and do something about it!!
Have you ever been on stage, or even just playing alone in your room and realize that your instrument is holding you back? That its shape is not right for what you’re trying to do? Of course! There is a certain point for every musician where you just hit a wall because your hands are doing the right things, and tripping over the controls, or the shape of the body, or the neck. Even worse, there isn’t any guitar or bass YOU CAN BUY that will solve your problem. It just doesn’t exist.
When we got to this point, we said, That’s enough, we played and tinkered and invented and dreamed and built and tested and perfected, and FINALLY found solutions to our problems, and we’ve been making basses and guitars ever since. We are resolving for 2010 to get these solutions out there, because we all need solutions, we all need community and an open forum where we can find the tools to help us play the best we can.
What are your music resolutions for 2010? Are they technical playing goals or general networking and performing goals? We’d love to hear about them, here on the blog or emailed to info@wallpusher.com
We’re developing a video post that will detail the steps that we take to make our handmade guitars from recycled wood.
Here is one critical step: designing the laminates before we glue them together so that hard and soft woods will be integrated together to produce the durability and sound quality that you need in a real quality bass.
Offering prototype tables for everyday use, storage and teaching options. Event better than art to hangs on the wall is an art surface that can be used daily—a great way to maximize your space efficiency and give your house, studio, classroom character.
Of course we use ours for surfaces from rendering art materials, to installing electronics in our guitars, to sewing guitar straps! The best products are really those that someone decided to make because they didn’t exist…and these tables are exactly that! If you don’t have any space on the wall, or move a lot, these light, beautiful tables are really just what you need to be more efficient and productive.
We have been making furniture, guitars and other artwork for 18 years. Don’t spend any more time wishing your house, classroom, or other spaces were more space efficient, order an AFFORDABLE table from us! Made intentionally with attention to ergonomics and space efficiency. We have designed several tables with different artistic sensibilities, and can create one customized to a design you give us. Or we can make them to fit into any color scheme. These tables are going fast, and the price will not be low for long! Please contact us at info@wallpusher.com

An audio slideshow narrated by Matthew Rogers, owner and designer of Wallpusher Guitars.
Wallpusher was so glad to have the opportunity to integrate music, dialogue and pictures into this audio slideshow of Wallpusher guitars featured in the Cape Ann Beacon.
WALLPUSHER INTERVIEW: Matthew Rogers and Jacky Ankeles
Wallpusher is dedicated to freeing guitars from their conventions. Listen to Matthew’s description of his journey as a musician, an artist, a woodworker, and a luthier, leading to his creation of Wallpusher.
Long awaited…the wallpusher blog. What is wallpusher?
Wallpusher is an independent business focusing on the intersection of the aesthetic and functional, with the purpose to make things that should exist; things that are not only beautiful, but also things that are asking good questions and trying to make new solutions. That whole process is design, is architecture, is art — they’re all integrated. The design and production that happens at Wallpusher is about breaking preconceived notions, and offering new ways of thinking in tangible products that honor the intersection of the aesthetic and the practical in products that can provide that which we’re all thinking of when we go to find that one special solution.
Local Artist Matthew Rogers and owner of Wallpusher holds The Diploma of Fine Arts from the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston, and 15 years of experience creating art professionally. While Rogers has 15 years experience building custom furniture, bookbinding and gilding, he specializes in guitar design and fabrication. Original handmade electric bass guitars and guitars. Great quality sound, prototype neck with better reverberation, custom hand grips for easier playing, higher quality and aesthetic pleasure than anything you can find in stores. Wallpusher is located in Ipswich, MA. Please call 978 500 0495 with questions, or to make an appointment to visit the shop. Wallpusher was recently featured in the Cape Ann Beacon and the radio show North Shore Now 104.9. You can see a slideshow of the fabrication process or hear an interview with Matthew Rogers if you follow the links below: http://www.wickedlocal.com/gloucester/fun/entertainment/arts/x1001334438 Check out our ideas and work at www.wallpusher.com
